Church choir: 'Keep yo business off of Facebook'By Brandon Griggs, CNN (CNN) - How bad is the problem of oversharing online? People are now singing about it in church. A video that's been gaining buzz online in recent days shows worshipers at an unidentified church singing a gospel-styled tune with the apparent title of "Keep Yo Business Off of Facebook." In the blurry two-minute clip, shot with a cell phone, churchgoers sway and clap while a man and woman sing about the pitfalls of sharing not-safe-for-church behavior. "Sundays you act like a saint, but your Facebook posts say you ain't," the man sings. The video was posted online in July but has only become widely noticed in recent days after being shared, of all places, on Facebook. The origin of the video and location of the church has so far remained a mystery. |

Not too long ago I was working as the accountant for a small corporation. One day the boss came in all happy and announced to the staff, "Things are really going well! You guys are really putting out! I am going to give you all a nice bonus for Christmas this year!" My co-worker was ovejoyed and went out and bought a bunch of stuff anticipating his nice bonus. I just said to myself, "Well, I'll believe that when I see it.". A few weeks before Christmas the boss comes in again. "I am really sorry, Guys, but things aren't going so well and I can't give you that bonus I promised." My co-worker was devastated! He had spent all his money and was really depending on that bonus!
Nephi said, "34 O Lord, I have trusted in thee, and I will trust in thee forever. I will not put my trust in the arm of flesh; for I know that cursed is he that putteth his trust in the arm of flesh. Yea, cursed is he that putteth his trust in man or maketh flesh his arm."
(2 Nephi 4:34)
The book of Jeremiah from the Tanakh, the Jewish scriptures and the old testament stated the same thing, when this was written.
It seems it was copied from the Book of Jeremiah that existed long before this book...
You know, everyone in the world has faith...............in something. What do you put your faith in? Many people put their faith in the American Government for years only to find out that the rich and powerful control the government and use our children as cannon fodder in foreign wars to protect their oil interests and to get filthy richer. Now we find that they invade pur privacy and collect files of information on us.
I usd to put my faith in my company. The CEO would have frequent meetings and tell us the company was going bankrupt and that we all needed to tighten our belts and sacrifice for the good of the company. One morning we all woke up to the news that the CEO had left the company and took 200 million dollars of company money with him! We do the sacrificing, the big wigs get the profits!
Many of us put our faith in the American dollar and we put it in the bank and feel it is safe. Then the government needs money and so they print it and suddenly they have value where it didn't exist. But, where did the value come from? The dollar used to hold a hundred times more value than it does today.
I have a relative who has cancer. We have done everything that the doctors and medical science know to do, but it is not working. We can prepare. We can buy insurance and try to save for the future and anticipate problems that might come up, but, you know, in the end everyone of us will face a situation that we can do absolutely nothing about and all we can do is wring our hands in frustration!
Jeremiah said this: 11 Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit. (Jeremiah 2:11). 13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water. (Jeremiah 2:13)
Is your faith invested in "cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water?" I have personally put my faith in the living God all of my life and he has never failed me. I have actually experienced what David said in the 23rd Psalm, "5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. (Psalms 23:5)". I truly know the joy, happiness and contentment that comes from putting my faith and trust in the Lord and I wish to share this happiness with others. Go to mormon.org where kind, unpaid volunteers will show you the way.
The teaching that you can do nothing about something like cancer is a lie that has been entrenched in the christian religion and other religions.
If a person has a relationship with the Lord of the Bible and His Son and our Redeemer, the Moshiach (Known in christanity The Lord Jesus, the Messiah), they will BELIEVE HIS WORD. In His Life on the earth, He cured all sorts of diseases and weaknesses. In Isaiah 53:5 we are told that He destroyed all sickness with the stripes He bore on His Back.
In John 12:14 the Lord told us that we will do GREATER THINGS THAN HE DID. If He healed all types of sickness as He was directed by the Father, we should be doing not only what He did but even greater...
Get out of religion of all kinds and seek the Lord Himself...not a church, pastor or a religion...

There is a bunch of down right nonsense and silliness in many churches today. When Christ was on the earth he organized his church on the foundation of living prophets and apostles who were inspired and enlightened. I am sure that these ministers and pastors are well meaning, but they are uninspired and not approved of God. If anyone reading this feels as I do and want to worship the Lord in the real church with apostles and a prophet as in ancient times, and priesthood authority, I invite them to check out mormon.org. There is only one true church. That is what Paul said.

The odds of "Abraham's God Part III – American Jesus" being The Truth is pretty minimal given that it is 1/10th the age of the last major sequel, founded by a convicted con-man, and conceived in the notion that all men are created unequal based on their melanin count.

Marvin Hill, one of Joseph Smith's fathers-in-law, had this to say in a sworn affidavit b ack in 1834:

Smith used his magic, divine "seer stones" in that earlier scam for which he was arrested, tried, and found guilty. Records of the court case and the mittimus issued to get him out of the county are available for public perusal.

If you believe in the Joseph Smith malarky, you've already lost.
As to definitions of who is of G-d or who is a man of G-d, seek the Lord Himself to teach you...
The Lord Jesus told us not to call any man our teacher or our father. See Matthew 23:8-10. If you depend on Joseph Smith or a christian pastor as your source of belief or information, you are in spiritual darkness and will be deceived. The deception is tight, and we have to be strongly persistent and determined to refuse the lie and seek the Lord in EVERYTHING we believe or form our faith.
The truth is, it is about happiness, and none of you can say truthfully that you find happiness in your philosophy and way of life. Wickedness never was happiness. Your way of life brings misery, poverty, disease, and eventually conflict or war. One or two of you are not poor, unhealthy, and miserable today? Well, things will change.
You don't have the right to judge my happiness. Just because I manage to live my life without imaginary friends (ie; jesus; god), does not mean I'm not happy. Your idea of happiness is not quite the same as my idea. It is you who needs an imaginary companion to be happy, some of us are not so weak.
how do you know how we find happiness?
Open your mouth and ask G-d to prove Himself and identify Himself to you if He exists...
If your heart is sincere to know the Truth, the Lord Who has promised to reveal Himself to those who seek Him, can be genuinely asked to reveal Himself.
It is much easier to be happy when your views align with reality. There is no god from any religion that is true.
The truth is, you are unqualified to speak of anyone's life outside of your own, Jonah; every assertion you have made is specious speculation. I suggest you stick with what you (presumably) know and knock off the tedious slander. It doesn't look good, and makes you appear somewhat petty.
