Rand Paul: Obama won't stop war on ChristianityWashington (CNN) – Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky devoted his speech to the socially conservative Values Voter Summit to “a war on Christianity” that is being waged by “fanatics of Islam.” Much of Paul’s speech was a list of violence against Christians across the Muslim world, highlighting what he said was “not a little problem” and something that is “not going away quickly.” “Across the globe, Christians are under attack almost as if we lived in the Middle Ages or we lived under early pagan Roman rule,” Paul said. “This administration does nothing to stop it and it can be argued that it is giving aid and comfort to those who tolerate these crimes.” FULL STORY |

Uh Oh!,...Its back to "birtherisms" for Rand.
Maybe when the 'Christians' in the United States stop waging war on the non-believers and those of other faiths you may have an argument. But until you accept there was a reason to separate the church and the state and you abide by such separation you get no support from the rest of us. You Senator are acting as the enemy and you will be treated as such.
I agree. Freedom of religion also include the freedom not to believe.
We are the global police force we should have done something.
More proof that Paul HAS bumped his head.
If your god was so powerful then you should have nothing to worry about. Hmmm.....
Don't you worry. Your time of knowing that God is real is coming soon enough
Yep. God loves us soooooo much that he sends us to eternal torture if we don't love him back.
Rand Paul another crazy Tea Party, all he's done is criticized the President. Full of hatred to the point of being delusional.
Rand Paul is a disgusting, conceited, arrogant buffoon in love with his own ridiculous values. Another "good Christian" who is nothing but a poster child for why intelligent people want nothing to do with the religious insane like him.
And what was it that Mr. Paul said about white businesses being able to prevent citizens of color from patronizing them?
He shouldn't even be allowed to use the word Christian.
The last I heard Obama was a Christian, and Rand Paul was about all kinds of Christian values, like denying children, the poor, the old, and the sick healthcare. Christian values like judging who is, and who is not a Christian. I don't see Rand Paul on his knees asking God for forgiveness, giving all his money to the poor, and walking the earth preaching the Gospel.
Anything to get the so called Christian Conservatives mad! He and the rest of the GOP have done a great job of killing Christianity themselves, with all their hypocrisy and lies.
Now he wants Obama to start military action in the Middle East, since they're killing Christians? Wasn't this the party that criticized Obama for trying to "start a war" with Syria, saying we needed to mind our own business? I'm so confused.
Here's another loser who thinks he understands God.
Sigh. The 'war on Christmas' meme again. Another non-issue designed to stir up fear in easily manipulated red state voters.
We all know how victimized and oppressed white protestants have historically been in the USA.
Non issue? Tell that to the thousands that have died in attacks throughout the Arab world.... You ignorant SOB
Who are you talking to moron? That guy typed that last night.
All kinds of people are persecuted and killed across the globe every day. Gays are persecuted and imprisoned by Muslims and Christians in Africa regularly. At least JJ qualified his rant by referencing the U.S.
That is the Arab World, not the US. Rand Paul claims that the persecution is occurring in the US.
Christians historically ARE the most persecuted group in human history. After them are the Jews. What don't you understand about history? Obviously nothing.
Paul has one goal it's to be the RNC nominee. He will garner some "Fans" but he will be short lived when it comes to RNC debates.
Have a great week.
Cory
Rand Paul = dooooooooosh.
Two Native Americans watching the first Pilgrims come ashore. One says to the other, "Religious nuts with guns."
Nobody is meaner than someone being mean for jesus.
Lord Jesus, protect me from your followers...
JJ, you are jealous of people who have faith, you got nothing to look forward to, you got no life, and you got no hope for eternal life. Keep bashing people with faith, guess where you'll end up....
Hopefully I'll die in glorious battle so I can go to Valhalla.
If there is a war against christianity, it is between christian extremists and those 'who require evidence prior to believing', and seeing as how there is no evidence supporting creation by an almighty whatever, and that there is tons of evidence supporting evolution, the most effective weapon in the 'war' is the utter stupidity that keeps emanating from the mouths of christian loudmouths. Keep it up loudmouths! You are helping our cause!
Dear Leader stands with the suicide vest wearing head loppers.
FORWARD COMRADES!
ah yes the "War Against Christianity" that's the percieved fight that happens when the rest of the world isn't exactly the way *they* (who are screaming WAR) want it.
I'm sorry, but if expecting to be treated EQUALLY in this country over my faith is "war" to you... then I will be happy to become militant about it...
Want to know why Athiests, Agnostics and Pagans are getting more and more Militant? Maybe it's because we are expected not to exist... because "freedom of religion" seems to mean "We shove our religion in your face, but don't you DARE show any signs of yours"
Don't believe it's true... spend this holiday season decorating with Pagan or Jewish symbols... put them on your car... see how many people deface, destroy or steal these items...
When I have to FIGHT just to practice my faith in peace, then you have no right to say that you are under seige... no, your "war against christianity" is merely another way to play victim while you carry on your "Crusade against everyone else"
Um, I don't think that was the point that was trying to be made. It is true there are many parts of the world where people are persecuted, tortured, murdered, for their Christianity. Coptics in Egypt would be one example. I don't think Rand Paul was talking about a war on Christianity in the US per se.
That said, he's once again trying to blame the President for inaction over problems that have existed for centuries. He's just pandering to his "Value Voters" (whatever that means).
Since when do US conservatives (especially so-called libertarians) trouble themselves with the plight of brown skinned foreigners? Only if oil is involved...
"Christians are under attack almost as if we lived in the Middle Ages ".
During the Middle Ages the Christian establishment of Europe was merrily waging war against Islam (remember the Crusades) and happily slaughtering Jews in countless pogroms. During the Modern era European Christians, most notably Britain and France, took over much of the Middle East as the spoils of war and treated the primarily Islamic inhabitants as conquered people. Is it a surprise that there is no love lost?
