![]() Congregation Or Hadash, a conservative Jewish synagogue built from a former auto body repair shop.
November 20th, 2013

From auto shop to sacred spaceEditor's note: This story is part of CNN's American Journey series to show how old buildings around the United States have found new purposes and helped to build communities. Are there repurposed buildings in your community? Share the stories with CNN iReport and they could be featured in a CNN story. Sandy Springs, Georgia (CNN) - The old Chevrolet paint and body shop was vacant - 24,000 square feet of metal and concrete surrounded by a sea of asphalt. But when some members of Congregation Or Hadash saw it, they saw a home. Since it was founded in 2003, the conservative Jewish congregation had bounced from location to location outside Atlanta - a Methodist church, a windowless space in a school, any place they could rent or borrow as they grew. "Sometimes, from week to week, we didn't know exactly where we were going to be," said Fred Wachter, president of the congregation and a member since its early years. "All the while ... we probably walked every piece of available property and real estate in Sandy Springs, trying to find something, anything, that would look like it." FULL STORY |

Atheists use the crutch of the scientific method: propose question, develop ideas to answer those questions, test them objectively, keep ideas that are consistent with test results.
Abrahamic religion followers use the crutch of blind faith: believe in millennia old writings, never question it.
I don't care which you choose, but the first makes sense to me.
never question it? bullsvit! A significant number of scientists are Abrahamic religion followers... and they do science just as well as the atheists do science.
==quote==
"A significant number of scientists are Abrahamic religion followers"
==end==
Cite your source of information on it. You religious freaks love to just speculate and pass off your stupid claims.
Go fuck off and don't ever come back until you provide the numbers and reference sources for your stupidity!
http://www.godandscience.org/apologetics/sciencefaith.html'
There you go.
There is a lot of information about that. Most scientists are not atheists. source: http://blog.billmaz.com/2013/04/how-many-scientists-believe-in-god.html
http://www.adherents.com/people/100_scientists.html
There you go again.
Go and type out for us what that site does.. give us the background of the lies that it sponsors.
You freaks love going to your daily hash "christian" apologetics spiel. Do your research from scientific sites and do provide more that one flimsy site.
"A survey of scientists who are members of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, conducted by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press in May and June 2009, finds that members of this group are, on the whole, much less religious than the general public.1 Indeed, the survey shows that scientists are roughly half as likely as the general public to believe in God or a higher power. According to the poll, just over half of scientists (51%) believe in some form of deity or higher power; specifically, 33% of scientists say they believe in God, while 18% believe in a universal spirit or higher power. By contrast, 95% of Americans believe in some form of deity or higher power, according to a survey of the general public conducted by the Pew Research Center in July 2006."
33% believe in god and 18% in a higher power, which I'll lump with belief in god. 33+18=51 total.
Where are your stats and sources? Why blindly accept Bostontola's crazy azzertion?
If any particular religion helped the advancement of science, most scientists would be that religion. Since most scientists hold to the religion of their youth, we can recognize that religion is a function of societal pressure exactly like dress and how to act and so on.
Why do some men wear a suit instead of a Thobe or a Bisht? Because of where they were born.
Why is someone Christian instead of Muslim? Because of where they were born.
It's that simple. Sadly, much blood has been spilled denying this fact with each side claiming they are what they are because they have it right and their God is real.
Levi, That would depend upon their field, for example a geologist who is also a young-earth creationist would, at a minimum, be conflicted.
What the freaks always cling onto is the admiration of the label of "christian."
They never accept that fact that even if a scientist is "christian" the pure effort of a person giving his life's work to the dedication of science is the true aspect of that person.
They always view it as a "christian" win. The poor dim wits don't even want to think that these people couldn't care any further than advancing science and not their precious religion.
Exactly like Bostontola claiming an atheist victory for his delusional belief that most atheists use the scientific method to make decisiions.
You lied twice in your post. Why?
You seem to think that a win on our side isn't a warranted act and is worthy of us taking credit for it. It is purely the way of justice. The real truth of a winner.
You freaks want to deny that win that is given to you by the application of logic and reason. It is reason and logic you freaks want to deny and for that you have lost. What you are doing is whining.
Just fuck off you freak.
he says: "Atheists use the crutch of the scientific method: propose question, develop ideas to answer those questions, test them objectively, keep ideas that are consistent with test results."
A majority of atheists don't do that. He doesn't. You don't. That statement is flat wrong. The fact that you ignore that is embarazzing.
You lied twice in your post, Levi. Why? Do you need me to point out the two lies, or are you capable of critical an.alysis of your own writing?
You want to keep on whining.. it's your choice. I'll still laugh my head off at you freaks.
Why do you ignore his claim that nobody questions their belief? Have you ever read the Bible? The Psalms? Job? Israel stands for "he who argues with God", Why do you ignore his ignorance to jump at my mistake?
You argue with your delusion backing you up. That is what you have just stated. Congrats on being an idiot.
You want to go on and state that "yes, my delusion is backing me up." – Sure thing dumbass.
When it comes right down to it, atheism itself doesn’t inherently mean all that much. Fundamentally, atheism itself isn’t anything more than not believing in any gods. Why or how one might be without belief in gods is no more relevant to the definition of atheism than why or how one might believe in gods is relevant to the definition of theism.
many atheists are very unskeptical when it comes to all sorts of political, social, religious, and paranormal beliefs. There are many atheists who believe in ghosts, psychic powers, astrology, and many other irrational ideas — being an atheist doesn’t make them totally rational in every sphere.
Go ahead and do anything and everything you can to do what your preacher has taught you to do.
"I have to protect my belief because that's what is important. I must go through the same tripe that I was taught to defend myself. Even though I don't make sense or employ any logic, I must."
"I'll discredit their humanity and deny them as having morals. It is what I was taught. They're inferior to me. They're inferior because I have to say it."
"I have to reconfirm that my being a christian is better than those that use logic and reason. I have to state that their life is worthless and empty while mine is not. They are empty. They aren't worthy. I must go to heaven because I must go to heaven."
Go ahead and just do whatever Penn Jillette tells you to do.
Levi
"There are many atheists who believe in ghosts, psychic powers, astrology, and many other irrational ideas — ...."
Can you cite some evidence to support that
Log off your computer and join the real world.... Atheist and Christians and Jews and Hindus and etc. all do weird things and hold bizarre ideas. Most of the world's scientists would probably see your actions and words on this sight as not following the scientific method...just strong feelings you have.
Levi, As you're such an avid follower of science – do you believe in evolution? do you believe in the Big Bang? do you believe that not only is there no evidence for a global flood but that it also is impossible? Those facts undercut the creation myths of all religions. So logically you cannot believe any creation myths.
Levi, There are tablet devices where one can sit in say Starbucks and still comment on blogs. Technology eh!
A freak's acceptance to use logic is just this: "I'll use my logic for everyday usage to confirm my god."
That is all they'll do.. never will the logic be used to thwart their own belief system. "Must protect my god. Must protect my bubble from shattering. Must be afraid to accept evolution and science because they're so contrary to my beliefs."
A freak ATHEIST TROLL'S acceptance to use logic is just this: "I'll use my logic for everyday usage to DECIDE WHAT CHRISTIANS MUST BELIEVE."
THAT IS WHAT IDIOTS LIKE YOU DO.
Levi
Logic dictates what's reasonable to believe. If Christians believe in things that aren't reasonable, why should we jump on the bandwagon?
YOU SHOULDN'T. YOU SHOULD CLAIM YOU HAVE ACCESS TO LOGIC AND FACTS AND LIKE A ROBOT OR A NEWBORN BABY YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN GOD.
Levi
It's not just a claim when you can demonstrate how illogical and unreasonable Christian belief actually is. Can a baby, or even a robot do that? All I see here by way of Christian apologetics is quote mining from the Bible, and I'm pretty sure that you can train a robot, and probably a parrot to do that.
"Look ma, that person is a scientist. He's christian, ya know!" "He's my hero!"
"I'll look up to him because he's a christian by name. But I don't care to read his actual scientific discovery that does hamper my own belief. He's just a christian and that puts him right in my book."
"Look ma, that person is an atheist. He's using the scientific method ya know!"
ma sayz: "But he is smoking crack?"
"He's my hero! He totally rejected God so that makes him logical."
Look at that.. magical moment.
The freak want to interject and propose that now that scientist is a "crack head."
Show us what other names you want to associate towards what I pointed out. Show us all what you're capable of because you want to come out with the insults. Indulge us.
I didn't say a scientist was a crackhead. An atheist like you was saying the atheist crackhead used the scientific method (like all atheists do) to become a crackhead.
So, there are atheist crackheads, you know. Is that what you mean by us? You are gouping yourself with atheist murderers, atheist child abusers, atheist white collar criminals?
It's obvious that employing logic should be bound by the reference of a "crack head."
Tell us freak; what do you have against people employing logic? You don't use logic yourself then right? You're proving to us that you aren't a crack smoker right?
Of course I use logic...Exactly in the same way you do. I also use faith...Exactly the same way you do.
I'm not against logic, science. I'm against atheists who claim they have more of a claim to such things...when most scientists are not atheists. And many scientific breakthroughs have come from religious minds....
Levi, why don't all believing scientists worship the same god? Why isn't god belief a part of science? Are believing scientists more likely to be radical or mainstream in their belief?
Cpt. Obvious
Levi, why don't all atheist scientists have the same reasons for rejecting God? Why isn't god disbelief a part of science? Are atheist scientists more likely to be radical or mainstream in their belief?
Lying. Avoidance. What else are we going to add to the list, tonight?
Try applying the scientific method to Bostontola's staements.... I'm not going to stoop to your level and call it a lie. That is petty, immature talk you indulge in.
But apply the method to it and tell me he is right.
So just more lying and avoidance, I see. Can't you do something different for a change?
aLL YOU DO IS LIE AND AVOID REALITY.
I never said Christians can't do science. I said they believe in their scripture without question. If you read my statement, you'll see that you projected your expectation into it. Christians, Mormons, Muslims, Jews, etc. are very good at compartmentalizing.
Without question? B.S. Try using the scientific method on that belief and get back to us...
I never said I had no beliefs. Do you question the bible?
YES I QUESTION THE BIBLE. I DON'T KNOW ANY1 THAT DOES NOT!
They question their bible when new found science doesn't seem to fit by saying "Hey bible, how did science get it so wrong? How can I prove you are right when they just don't see it? When will science find out the truth you have shown me? Why are scientists and atheists always bringing up stuff that makes you look like a liar when I know you are right and they are wrong?"
So no, they don't really "question" their bible, they squirm and wiggle their brains and squint their eyes so that whatever science doesn't seem to fit their scripture looks like it has a chance of fitting if some future event happens proving them right.
"Hey Mary, what are the odds a guy like me could end up with a girl like you?"
"About a million to one."
"So you're telling me theres a chance! Woo hoo! Yeah!"
"Hey, what are the odds that science will prove the bible accurate?"
"About a trillion to one..."
"So you're telling me theres a chance! Woo hoo! Yeah!"
IVE YET TO HEAR ANYONE SAY WHAT YOU BELIEVE.
Can you cite some evidence to support that
I believe the bible creation myth is false. The evidence is found in science. The earth is about 4.5B years old, stars are more than 13B years old, yet the bible says the earth was created before the stars.
To verbalize doubt is an afront to the faithful and thus rarely escapes the confines of their grey matter.
Do you question the bible?
YES I QUESTION THE BIBLE. I DON'T KNOW ANY1 THAT DOES NOT! i am encouraged to ask questions
WHAT CENTURY DO YOU LIVE IN?
You are the one not dealing with reality. I have had this discussion many times with my Christian friends, I have not met 1 that questions the bible. My Jewish friends are more open. The Mormons and Muslims I know are not open to questioning their books. Overall, the majority of Abrahamic believers do not question their scripture.
BS. PARTS OF THE BIBLE, LIKE PARABLES AND PSALMS ARE MEANT TO BE QUESTIONED. THERE IS NO CLEAR CUT ANSWER OR CORRECT VIEW. JESUS REVEALED TRUTHS THAT WERE HIDDEN. YOU HAVE TO QUESTION.
YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT BIBLE WORSHIPPERS, NOT JESUS WORSHIPPERS.
THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE. NICE RESERACH, BUDDDY.
Now that's a baseless assertion. My evidence was through interviews with real believers. You make baseless statements.
BS. YOU HVEN'T MET 1 THAT HAS SKEPTICISM AND DOUBT AND QUESTIONS? BS! BS! BS! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/kent-hayden-mdiv/the-case-for-christian-ag_b_674170.html
I have not met 1 Christian that doubts the truth of the bible, even where it conflicts with common sense. Instead, they accept tortured rationalizations to square it up. Example: Intelligent Design.
The Bible is a spiritual guide, not a science textbook! always has been. just because your stupid interviewees don't believe that doesn't make all christians idiots. come on!!!!1
@duh
Yes, perhaps he hangs around with the idiots and not the smart set. It would explain much.
yea. boston should expand his test subjects.
YOU HAVEN'T MET 1 CHRISTIAN. YOU'VE MET BIBLE THUMPERS THAT PRACTICE IDOLATRY.
PARABLES, SONGS, POETRY, COME ON!
Goodness, Levi. Now you are going to redefining what a Christian is?
NO. PRETENDING YOU DON'T HAVE DOUBTS WHEN HONESTLY ALL CHRISTIANS DO HAVE DOUBT IS NOT CHRISTIANITY.
READ THE STORIES. MOST PEOPLE GOD USED HAD MAJOR DOUBTS.
You are confusing 2 different things; 1. asking questions about what a bible verse means, and 2. questioning if the contents of the bible are true. I was referring to the second, you seem to be talking about the first.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/kent-hayden-mdiv/the-case-for-christian-ag_b_674170.html
You are citing the huffington post article as evidence of what? Most Christians wouldn't consider a Christian Agnostic as a Christian at all.
Ah, "The Nae Troo Scoatsman a Wee Bit There" argument. That's a thin sheet of ice yer on, laddie.
Did you employ the scientific method to conclude how believers come to their conclusions?
No facts, logic or scientific method was used.
He simply has a strong feeling about it.
"Feelings" are all the faithful ever have. And it is incorrect of the faithful to claim their own feelings as "evidence," yet they always do so.
"Feelings" is all the phony atheist science wannabees have, too.
Feelings! Nothing more than…Feelings! Trying to forget my feelings...
Despite this, some atheists continue to assume that the superiority of skepticism over gullibility means that atheism is somehow inherently superior to theism and religion. Thus we will find some arguing that atheists are necessarily more rational or just plain “better” than theists. That, however, is not only naked bigotry, but is in fact an example of how atheists can fail to be rational and adopt just the sort of ridiculous beliefs which they find contemptible in others.
I hated that song...
Atheism is superior to theism the exact same way that skepticism is superior to belief when it comes to someone buying a very expensive item. If someone is selling you a 20 million dollar mansion for 10 bucks, you're going to want proof--understandably and reasonably so.
Atheism disbelieves the non proven claim until the claim can be proven. Until there is a verifiable method by which to gauge the accuracy of a god believers claim, the more reasonable stance is disbelief-exactly as when deciding whether or not to believe that some street bum owns the Golden Gate bridge.
Feelings don't factor into it, Levi. I disbelieve in unicorns and gods for the same reason: None have been proved to exist, and it makes more sense to disbelieve that unicorns exist than to believe that they exist. Only stupid people disagree with such a logical idea.
ONLY STUPID PEOPLE THINK ALL ATHEISTS USE THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD TO MAKE DECISIONS AND ALL CHRISTIANS BLINDLY ACCEPT WHATEVER THEIR PRIEST TELLS THEM THE BIBLE DEMANDS THEY BELIEVE.
Levi, So does that mean you reject the creation myth in the bible? And with it original sin? If so, what's left of christianity to believe in?
@ in santa we trust
original sin is a concept made by Augustine centuries after the time of Jesus, not in the Bible
116,
Yeah, it's SO much better to think of it as a "curse" from a petulant sky wizard!
I didn't comment on how Christians came to their conclusions. I commented on their belief. It is not based on any objective evidence, I've searched for it and found none. In that sense, the scientific method was used. You read more into my statement than was there, that is your projection.
IT IS NOT ATHEISM = SCIENTIFIC METHOD VS CHRISTIANITY.
THAT IS THE ONLY KIND OF CRAP YOU READ FROM ATHEIST TROLLS. LET ME GUESS? YOU ARE NOT AN ACTUAL SCIENTIST?
I am not a scientist. Are you saying you have to be a scientist to understand or use the scientific method? False. I also never drew that equation or alluded to it. Read my OP, you are projecting.
Are Christian trolls better than atheistic trolls, Levi?
ATHEIST TROLLS ARE JUST AS BAD AS CHRISTIAN TROLLS. THEY JUST CLAIM TO BE BETTER.
This great huge building they've erected is nothing less than a monstrosity and a vast waste of resources.
Here we see yet another hidebound little enclave of cultists forming an insular community where they can rule their little theocracy with an iron fist away from the cops.
Next I suppose they'll go around assaulting each other and abusing their wives and children as usual as well.
Where did they think they were? The middle east? They can't have a theocracy here, not even in their homes.
They have to follow the laws of this country no matter what their religion says they can do – like beat people to death.
Holistic mesmerisms and atheistic autisms are but socially industrialized dampening agents to the mind's all seeing eye of individual oneness...
So when are we gonna smoke a fattie? I gotta try your sh!t.
No needs for weed K...
Here in Fla. we have yet to pass any legislative action toward either the medicinal and/or recreational needs of this state's people... Till then I am bound to refrain... 🙁 😳 🙁
transcend the legal technicalities, LL
You have pharmaceuticals, then? Your brain certainly appears to be non-optimal in expression here, your vocabulary notwithstanding.
Why are a lot of prominent female Christians leaders, but no prominent female atheist leaders?
Women are more prone to delusions and believing in fairy tales then men.
http://www.redorbit.com/news/science/1112787460/men-superior-spatial-skills-chance-022013/
Is that you lol??
Well I have not read that yet have to check it out who ever you are.
It is a total boy's club.
Meryl Streep made a great Rabbi in "Angels in America"
Well, in polotics, if you are an atheist it will benefit you to lie and say you are Christian in order to get elected. That's what I do at work. I work in the Bible belt and I've found it easier to fake it and play along than to start unnecessary drama at work.
p.u.s.s.y.
I am what I eat.
Be a man and don't be ashamed of what you are.
I wonder if anyone has just showed up there during a service to say they needed a new set of tires.
They need to work on the exterior aesthetics, for sure.
Sacred?
Well, if they consecrate it, yes.
Consecrate to whom? Their mythical god? Their mythical Abraham? Their mythical Moses? Might as well consecrate to the Greek gods !!
A Catholic church may be sacred to a catholic but not to a Jew, sacred is in the eye of the beholder. No object is sacred to me.
If it is Greek gods they are worshiping, that's who they'll consecrate it to, yes.
But which group has THE GOD????
Creationism is not in EVERY classroom in America. In fact, I stated my times I went to a public school and was never taught a drop of creationism. If that happens in YOUR state and JUST YOUR state alone, YOU must fight THE LAWMAKERS of your STATE. I cannot make this anymore clearer for you. Since teaching creationism is NOT a NATIONAL LAW, you must actually face the issue head on in YOUR own STATE. Can I make this any more clearer for you? If its a national law, you must go higher up than state lawmakers. States are allowed to create their own laws within their state that only applies in their state and no other state. Each state can decide if they wish to allow gay marriage or not UNLESS a law is passed nationally declaring gay marriage legal or banning gay marriage. Seriously, do you have trouble comprehending where you do to actually go to solve these problems? Instead atheists have a new trend-attacking people on the internet without going to where they need to go to SOLVE the problem. If you don't face the issue head on, well, its your problem since you are too afraid to do it in real life. If its a law within just your state, you MUST go directly to the source and who has the power to pass laws or change laws. If its a national law, you have to go higher up on the power chain. What part of this don't you understand? Is it because you are too afraid to actually face this issue in real life or do you need a reason to keep complaining when the power has been given to us(the people) to change unfair laws we deem unfair?
No, I agree with you regarding the political activism part of your comment.
OceanSpray sprawled a squiggly they do did do...
Bostontola Cream Pie... mmmm... sweet man
Hey Lionly, I hope all is well with you.
What are you trying to do, Ocean, stifle the influence of the internet? I understand the need for people to make contact and lend their voice or written word to their local representatives, but people now are using every means possible to be heard – from every "side" of an argument, and from bottom up and from top down. You're not going to turn that back. You don't think someone in one area might get the idea that they might have a good chance to challenge their local officials on something when they see certain levels of reaction in other modes of information from elsewhere?
Atheists have been clinging to online forums for years now. Nothing they want has changed which means they hide behind a computer screen because they are too afraid to face the issue in real life.
Oh good grief, Ocean, can you be any sillier? I would acknowledge that it is easy to hide behind a computer screen – for anyone. And I do agree from your OP that people should above all else, voice their opinion with their representatives. But really, you sound like a self-appointed mind-reader and a hypocrite when you take aim at atheist bloggers. Can you point to some studies that support your wild assumptions?
and not just "mind-reader", but you assume an awful lot about what others do aside from their blogging
If you look up "outspoken atheists" on google, you'll find plenty of activists.
If what I said about atheists does not apply to you or anyone else, why do you care? I didn't say "all Christians". I take aim at atheists who think and act like what I post and THEY comment because it's about what they think. Seriously, this isn't hard to follow troll Doris.
You're posting the same comments as yesterday even though they were answered then. Actually it's believers that use the crutch of religion.
Ocean: "which means they hide behind a computer screen because they are too afraid to face the issue in real life."
Doris: "you sound like a mind-reader [..] you assume an awful lot about what others do aside from their blogging"
Ocean: "I take aim at atheists who think and act like what I post"
Wow. LOL...
You have also stated that atheists are trying to shove atheism down your throat, Ocean.
Can you articulate examples of this?
I'll just make up fake examples like atheists do of "forcing" I deem real even though it's not. I would make up that atheism is being taught in our schools but I'm referring to what I read about online and watch on tv rather than ALL schools in America. Instead they put "schools" on purpose. Atheism is being forced in our schools. See how easy it is to twist things that only are examples of CERTAIN areas not every school in America? So I will make up fake examples like atheists do.
I think any empty building that gets repurposed and reoccupied is a good thing for the community.
Agreed.
There are several churches in my area that have been changed into various things, one full church is now a music store, another is a coffee shop and full bakery. I don't often see old places becoming churches, unless they are small congregations taking a small building or portion of a building.
Agree.
Repurposed garbage. And if you really look at religion, that's all it is. There is no proof of a god or Exodus or that any of the stories about Moses in the bible even happened, but the stories sure seem to make people feel better.
so take your repurposed gas station and feel comforted by your garbage, but please, please, please stop trying to tell me that any of it is real.
Besides accumulated relative realities there would be no reasons for being 'repurpose driven' now would there..?
I said:
I think any empty building that gets repurposed and reoccupied is a good thing for the community.
Please show me where I had asked you to believe anything. As a matter of fact, I asked no question at all.
Actually doG, part of it is real.
That is what confuses people. The gospels do contain wisdom. There are some historically accurate things. People get sold on those parts and then fall for the whole book.
Scientiologists have perfected a method of recruiting people based on helping down & out people back on their feet, and then giving the secret doctrine all the credit.
Agree, except that this particular "repurposing" will rob the community of any property taxes that might have been collected from it.
I don't know. It seems awfully close to Florida.
Engineers have excitedly announced that the prestigous Sarah Palin Galactic Observatory/ Bait Shop will be back on line and operational at the end of this month. Repair crews have been working around the clock for almost 6 months to remove the crusty build-up of John McCain's soiled grampy diapers that somehow got into and clogged the machinery. Sarah Palin herself has called it a great leap forward for mankind !
This goes the other way as well. Joe Bologna's is an Italian restaurant in Lexington, KY that was a Presbyterian church built in 1891. It has the same hardwood floors, stained glass windows, and they used some of the pews. The pulpit is now a bar. I also recommend The Old Stone Church Restaurant in Castle Rock, CO.
I know someone who lived on an old church. Once they're deconsecrated, they can do what they want.
Barukh ata Adonai Eloheinu, Melekh ha'olam, asher kid'shanu b'mitzvotav v'tzivanu l'hadlik ner shel Shabbat.

Barukh ata Adonai Eloheinu, melekh ha'olam, she'asa nisim la'avoteinu ba'yamim ha'heim ba'z'man ha'ze.
Translation: "Blessed are You, LORD our God, King of the universe, Who performed miracles for our ancestors in those days at this time..."
A psalm by David. The L-rd is my shepherd, I shall lack nothing. 2. He lays me down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters. 3. He revives my soul; He directs me in paths of righteousness for the sake of His Name. 4. Though I walk in the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff-they will comfort me. 5. You will prepare a table for me before my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; my cup is full. 6. Only goodness and kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the House of the L-rd for many long years.
*YAWN*
JW, proselytizing, using a blogs to post your chuch's website, and telling people they can can answers to questions about life and death situations, etc, is stealing advertisment. Get it? You Are. Stealing. Keep your urls's out of the blog. Does your church and creator approve of stealing, JW?
We are not a business corporation, the website is for the use of the public, JWs can use it the way we want to use its, only not to make profits.
JW,
This is not a free advertizing site. Have some consideration for all the others who do not STEAL free advertizing. "Not for profit" does NOT mean your church doesn't "profit" from contributions you solicit.
Observer, if it was wrong to post what I posted, cnn moderation would've deleted my comment long time ago, since it has been in moderation for a long time. I'm sure they saw it already and didn't find it to be bad.
I don't get why so much worry about JWs....
Have you ever gone to a Kingdom Hall? The are no collections going around or thivings, you only contribute voluntarily of you want to.... I invite you to go and see by yourself instead of throwing around things you don't know.

oh noes, this building used to be useful!
Ok, well here's my response to JW again:
I'll grant you that Jehovah's Witnesses are quite accomplished at knowing what is written in The Bible, but you know, there are equally as many who are just as accomplished in the Quran, or the Hindu Vedas, or the Buddhavacana, etc. Knowing those ancient words so well is not verified evidence that they are actually reality.
There are lots of experts who can quote Shakespeare to beat the band.. or Chaucer, or the tales about King Arthur, or, heck, even Star Trek. Intensive knowledge of your book does not mean anything.
I wonder if they do it through a hole in a sheet?
Old Glory hole sheets? I think those are big down in the south...
Read my book. "Hole in the bed"
More importantly, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Great I AM can change lives.
When He resides in the hearts and minds of His people, He transforms lives!

My heart just pumps blood through my body. A deity lives in your's? Damn that's cool. I was thinking about getting a pet lemur. I wonder if it could live in my heart?
Amen!
Human being can transform spaces, God can transform lives!
Congratulations to the members of the Congregation of Hadash!
God transforms lives? Into what, superhumans? Into anothe species? Proof required, for any kind of transformation.

For the newbies:
Recognizing the flaws, follies and frauds in the foundations of Islam, Judaism and Christianity, the "bowers", kneelers" and "pew peasants" are converging these religions into some simple rules of life. No koran, bible, popes, clerics, nuns, monks, imams, evangelicals, ayatollahs, rabbis, professors of religion or priests needed or desired.
Ditto for houses of "worthless worship" aka mosques, churches, basilicas, cathedrals, temples and synagogues.
